I've been fishless cycling my tank for 9 days now without much progress but tonight, I was at a fish store and the guy let me take home a cycled bio-wheel for my tank and a rock that had been in a tank. He put them in water and I just put them in my tank. What should I expect to happen now?

Keep dosing ammonia-- you should see a drop in ammonia and rise in nitrites fairly quickly.

You added seed material for the tank which should shorten the timeframe for cycling. You don't really do anything differently.

With a loaded bio-wheel you should be on the fast track now.
Watch for nitrites which should start to rise. as your amonia starts to drop dose it with small doses a couple of times a day. Don't attempt to keep the amonia levels high after nitrites start, they will naturally want to lower and overdosing can hurt the cycle. I would expect you will see nitrates within a week, maybe less.
