Planning on getting 55 gal tank
Would these be overstocking? Planning on stocking most of these fish in a 3 monthperiod except the pictus catfish.
Planned fish:
2angelfish
1 dwarf gourami
5 platies
12 neon tetras
7 dojo loaches
8 panda Cory cats
1 bush nose pleco
A few Nerite snails
1 Asian freshwater gold clam
2 pictus catfish?(future)
Betta( unsure)
Bolivian ram(unsure heard were mean to bottomdwellers)
Small school of zebra danios(unsure)
Any advice is appreiciated! Still learning this aquarium stuff! :)
Thank you

I think that should be fine. It's really all about making sure you spread your stock between bottom, mid and top feeders. Right now I have a 46 gallon with the following:

3 platy fish (two female, one man)
1 opaline gourami (female)
1 gold gourami (female)
1 royal pleco (male)
3 otocinclus
8 bloodfin tetra
7 serpae tetra
1 algae eater
2 clown loaches
4 agassizi cory cats
3 boesemani rainbow fish
2 madagascar rainbow fish

I have had this tank for months with this stock and all is well. Test water weekly to make sure conditions stay healthy.

Imho, skip the pictus. They need to be in at least groups of three, constantly zipping around the tank. I kept one in a thirty because people said it was ok, they are predatory so I had a colony of feeder guppies going so it could eat when it wanted and fed it pellets too. It ended up just killing and not eating anything, attacked my bristlesnose plec so bad it was starving to death, and just was a terrible fish to have. I'm sure in certain setups they're great, but you have a lot of 'community' fish and I don't think they'd mix well :/

No Pictus. Wide mouth cats eat small fish.

No Dojos. Coldwater fish and they get big.

Panda Cories are somewhat delicate and prefer cooler temps than Angels.
C sterbai is better.

No Clams...if they die, they'll poison the tank.

Try Bleeding Heart Tetras or Lemon Tetras. A big group of wide bodied Tetras that are NOT nippy.

Zebra Danios can be a PITA. Look at Cherry Barbs or Harlequin Rasboras.

Pick a Ram or Cories. A Bolivian might be less territorial. IDK ? Never kept them.

My 55g stock...not saying to copy me...just giving you ideas.
