yesterday, my half of my gorgonian stem dropped into a big pile of frogspawn when i went to work. needless to say by the time i came back, the polyps on the gorgonian were excreting sliming and presumably dead because they're all shriveled into the stem. even this morning, the portion of the polyps that touched the frogspawn, which normally opens by the time the light came out, remains closed. is there anything that i can do to "revive" these polyps? i understand that frogspawn and its relatives are aggressive and will attack other corals.

Personally I think it looks ok, the polyps appear to be out everywhere though some aren't fully extended. Give it some time and keep an eye on it and report back if it gets worse.

no, it's actually worse because the polyps on the top of the stem have shed, making the top portion bare or bald.
