I was able to raise the Alk to 8.5
And Calcium is 546

Wouldn’t suggest raising your alk that fast in the future, dramatic alk swings are a good way to kill corals. Just use water changes with rodi and a good reef salt to keep your elements stable and export your nutrients, no need to dose anything in a system like yours

Yea my problem definitely wasn’t with the stars but since getting a harlequin shrimp they have been pretty much disappearing overnight! It’s crazy how quick they work in only a matter of a few weeks. It’s funny when my lights come on and the start fish are all huddled at the top of the glass almost jumping out trying to escape the shrimp! Click image for larger version
