Wouldn’t suggest raising your alk that fast in the future, dramatic alk swings are a good way to kill corals. Just use water changes with rodi and a good reef salt to keep your elements stable and export your nutrients, no need to dose anything in a system like yours

Yea my problem definitely wasn’t with the stars but since getting a harlequin shrimp they have been pretty much disappearing overnight! It’s crazy how quick they work in only a matter of a few weeks. It’s funny when my lights come on and the start fish are all huddled at the top of the glass almost jumping out trying to escape the shrimp!
