Black and red Algae

How do you get rid of this stuff? I tried an water change to reduce nitrates, but no changes have occurred. Any suggestions!

Are you referring to cyanobacteria? Multiple water changes, siphoning it out with each change, and cutting back on feeding are the best defense. It's not going to leave overnight.

It takes about 2 PWCs for mine to start going away.
