blue tang with white spots on him...

My blue tang has been fine for months. Yesterday I noticed a few little white spots on him. Is this a serious thing? What can I do? I wanna save my fish.

Garlic if it's ICH.

If it looks like raised white specks, like someone dusted your fish with salt, then it's probably ich. White "splotches" is most likely not ich.

Garlic will not kill ich or rid your tank of it, but it may stimulate your fish to eat and build up its immune system.

I dont think garlic will do much for getting rid of ick. Here is an article on garlic.
