I read on here that this may be normal but she is really biting him badly. Will it kill him? I am afraid she will not stop until he is dead. It seems so brutal.

Any advice would be great. I believe they are a mated pair but I thought the aggressiveness was prior to being in love, not after.

I put him in a netted area until I can get some advice on this, I really don't want to find him dead one morning.

The female is establishing her dominance. IF they we a mated pair already there wouldn't be any fighting so that tells me they aren't a pair just yet. It's hard to say if she will accept him and keeping them seperated will only extend the time of aggression.
