Coral’s Mouth Hardened

I came home as my coral was closing up. The light wasn’t getting darker so, not normal. Upon closer inspection, I found that my torch coral’s mouth has hardened. I tried touching the mouth area & I noticed it retracted. The tentacles are there but the mouth is hard. Is this normal?

Can you post a picture? Corals do close up at times. How long have you had it? Can you tell us more about the system? Current parameters?

Seems fine now. I guess it was just doing it's thing. What concerned me was why it's mouth was hard. I thought corals mouths were soft.

If it was fully retracted you were probably feeling skeleton.
