Curing live rock??

I just received my LR and I have a 20 gal setup for curing it. I was wondering about adding substrate. Is this a good idea? I was thinking by adding some live sand, it may keep the ammonia and nitrates lower...im not sure about this, so for now there is no substrate.

Any suggestions for curing my LR are greatly appreciated!!

Yeah you want the rock to be the only subtrate for bacteria.. otherwise it will colonize the sand.

IN addition you can syphon off the dieoff that falls to the bottom of the curing vessle.
