death in my tank

well today i found my diadema dottyback and my bicolor blenny dead today, levels are perfect, nothing seems wrong, the only thing that has changed in the last week is i added my toadstool leather, and he hasn't shed or anything. What could it be?

no, temperature is great, heater isn't cracked or anything, the only thing i've added chemically in the last two weeks that wasn't normal was strontium, magnesium, and iodine, and i'm positive that i'm not overdosing

Positive how? Are you testing for all 3?

i've only added them once, since i just got my toadstool, but lugol's says 1 drop per 25 gallons, i added 2, magnesium says 2 capfuls per 50 gallons, i added 2, strontium says 1 capful for 50 gallons roughly twice a week, i've added 1 capful in the last week, so i can't be overdosing

you really shouldnt add anything to your tank that you dont test for. trust me ive made that mistake.
