I went away for 4 days and came back to a bit of a green algae bloom :D. I was unable to find my pom pom crab in any of her usual spots. It's a 10G tank, so I can usually see her. She is now MIA for many weeks and presumed killed in action :(. Can anybody offer ideas why?

There is no predator in the tank (see sig for tank population). Does a pom pom crab need daily/frequent feeding or does it scavenge?

Likely died of something you'll not be able to figure out, and was then eaten by the hermits.

You got a bubble tip in a 10g tank? Brave soul. No harm after 4 days? How old is this tank and didja test the water when you returned? Salinity too?

That xenia may be come a problem real fast in that small tank if it's healthy.

Sorry about your pom pom. I have one in my 4g and I rarely see her. Mine seems to scavenge so maybe yours is still in there somewhere? Worth another look. :)

If she did in fact die you prob wont find the body as your cuc probably got to it. :-(

Here's hoping,
I'm missing a fish in my cube myself and I'm still hopeful. LOL
