Aquarium Advice Addict
I have heard something about dipping corals before putting them in the tank, and something about little red coral bugs. Can someone elaborate on these a little? TIA!

The man to see on the little red bugs is reefrunner. I believe he's had to deal with them a few times.
What I do know is that they are a parasite that feeds on the flesh of the polyps of the corals and will eventually decimate your tanks corals if not treated. Hopefully he'll be able to chime in soon (he's a FL native).

My LFS dips all of their corals in Lugol's solution and SW mixture before adding them to ther tanks. I have done it once on an Elegence coral I had that was sick. It still died...Lando
