Dose for metronidazole

Sadly, Mr Fishie died last night from ich. I have noticed some small patches on my damsel, JA, I have some metronidazole in 500 mg tabs, Does anyone know the dose for a 70 tank. If I crush them up. If so, how do i administer it. I know i have to take the charcoal filter out of the filter, ANd do PWC of 5% EOD. IS this correct?

i'd read the stuff that came with it, mine came in a powder, not tabs.

I work at a hosp and a doctor from work gave me some. its cheaper.

What do these patches look like and what are they?

i can't really see them well, he keeps darting. it kinda look cottony in a spot very small by his gills on one side. maybe I am over reacting sense Mr. Fishie died. I am getting a Qt this weekend.
