golf ball coral what can i do

I have a 160 ltr corner tank with clowns,gobie,mandarin,coral beauty angel,PJ cardinal,cow fish,anems,live rock,torch,flowers,tree coral.I have an external cannister and an internal for movement ,no skimmer as i feel they remove too much of the good stuff!!! My golf ball coral is 15 centimetres but is not opening to it't full potential what can be done. Everything is in check ie lighting ,levels,food,filtration,heating,HELP<HELP<HELP

What are your water readings? Mainly ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, etc.?
