I just got back from school and notice the goby was a bit pale. Looked up close and it looked like his coat has fallen off.
Whats wrong with him?

Is it eating? What do you feed it? Some fish lose their Colour if malnourished.

I don't know much about sw aquariums but if it happened suddenly it may be due to stress?? A lot of fw fish do I dunno if it is the same for sw but I would do a water test and salinity test and have a good look to see if there are any injuries. Hope this helps, good luck

I have small pellet and brine. I don't see the goby swim up for the pellet but I think it eats the brine though.

Goby may have gotten stressed when it was stuck on the water intake grill. But it looked like it was getting better until I saw his skin flaking.

I would say it was something to do with the injury just make sure you keep the water super clean and hopefully he will make it.

So his color came back but now I'm afraid it's little bumps.. I'm not sure

So I took him out for pre caution. Would I be able to leave him like this?

Short term should be okay, but not for too long. Doesn't look like there is and where for him to hide and no filter.

Not sure what I can do. I dont have any extra filter. and the pump is attached to the top part of the bucket.

Would it be okay to put the goby back in the tank? I fed it some food and it ate all of it.

I don't see the harm. I forgot the mention a lot of my fish look discoloured when they wake up. Just keep an eye on him and see how he goes. Best of luck.
