I just acclimated my open brain coral and when I put it on the sand in my tank something came running off it.

it started squirming around now it's on my tank wall looks like a sea slug. Is this part of the coral???? Should I be worried for my corals safety? What is this thing???

I think it's a chiton snail? Common hitch hiker I'm not sure if they are snails or slugs but looks like this

Just a relief it's not harmful! Hopefully he will help clean out my tabk

It looks like a stomatella snail to me. They are harmless hitchhikers that can be a beneficial part of your clean up crew. Chiton's shells generally look segmented (think roly poly or pillbug), while a stomatella looks like a slug with a fingernail on its back.
