Hippo Tang has white and poppy dots on the body. Pls advice.

I have a 4" Hippo Tang, he has white dots popped on the body. Would anybody let me know what it is and how to cure it. Thanks in advance.

Do you have any idea what ick is? Pls give some info on the tank. Other inhabitants. How long you've had the tang - and the tank. Water readings.

Also, look up info on the use of quarantine tanks.

BTW, I admire anyone that can do hippos since they seem to be ick magnets. I'm chicken.

Thanks for all advice. The fish I have is just comming home 2 days, I put together with others. Per your advice, I will QT this tang and I will do "hyposalinity" method.
