Hippo tang help

If hippo tang showing ribs and lost colour on bottom half what can it be and how to help it get better. Fish is a friends and lives in 150gal 5ft tank it's only about 4 inch long at min. Water test all good. He feeds it sea weed every day plus flake and frozen cubes

I'd say if its showing ribs or super thin then it needs more food. Not sure what his feeding schedule is like but he may have to step it up a bit. They are very active fish and need a good amount of food. The seaweed is great but a nice variety of other food can only help.

Feeds bit of flake once aday and, cube in evening. So what best food to fatten fish up

You want high protein food. I would get some pemysis and try that on top of the seaweed and maybe add a good pellet food to the menu, like new life spectrum. I feed my tangs that and they are actually kinda fat lol
