How do you know if a star fish is dead?

I know they arent the most active lol, but how do you know if it is doing ok or not? Mine is still stuck to the glass but he hasnt really moved to much. He has moved down some but really for 2 days doesnt seem like he moves to much.

If they are dying, their appendages will start to fall apart.

ok cool, he/she looks as good as the first day. Just seems like it wasnt moving.
