I have a yellow tang he’s about 2.5 inches in length. Just today I noticed that he has I reddish tint to his color I think it might be red velvet, he has been acting a little strange, to what appears to me to be scratching himself against the glass of the aquarium. He has a huge appetite that hasn’t changed at all, I’m just worried that it could get worse what should I do? Could it go away on it’s own or should I take action? I would hate to make things worse by any major treatments
Ps- I always have two clowns and a cleaners shrimp in the tank as well.

Can you provide more information about the system? Illnesses don't come around unless there is stress, be it parameters issues or territorial.
When it comes to velvet, if you think that's what it is you have to treat in a hospital tank immediately. Velvet is a fast killer and can wipe out everything in the tank.
Velvet needs to be treated with copper based medication.
