I bought a pulsing xenia and it was doing good at the store and was in their show tank for months and it has been in my tank for a week and it is starting to disinegrate. my colt,2 star polyps, leather, and other corals are looking good. can someone help. I am only adding Coral-Vite, Assential Elements, Calcium, and pro-buffer. Should I be adding phytoplanktin?? any comments would help thanks

What are the lighting differences from the lfs show tank and yours? How did you acclimate? and What are your levels? These are the first few questions to ask.

If the xenia is "melting" you need to frag it, if even a small amount survives it will spread like a weed. What are your water parameters? and lighting and flow.

Hmmm, could simply be infection, from the stress of transport or light shck, I am assuming that your tank has more intensity (where the xenia is at) than the LFS??

At any rate, frag it, try to save some of it.
