I have a few tangs, some percula clowns and a flame angel which all seemed to come down with Ich. I slowly lowered the salinity over 3-4 days to 1.009. Every day the Ich got worse, but now that we're .09 I'm hoping it will cease. Is there anything else I need to do with treatment using medicine? Or do I just allow it to run it's course?

Thanks,

John

Where did you perform the hypo? Not in the main tank I assume?

Anyway, there is nothing else to do once the correct SG has be attained. Simply wait it out for a minimum of 4 weeks. 6 weeks is even better.

What are you using to measure your SG? Swing arm hydrometers are notoriously inaccurate, and the SG for hyposalinity needs to be pretty exact, to high and it doesn't kill the ick, to low and it can harm the fish. It is recommended to use a refractometer for hyposalinity.
