I got this coral almost a month ago
it's in the sand bed and somehow wanders around the tank
the part I'm confused is why I never see it open or inflate
or is it only opening after lights out
under Chinese leds

Pics please. Hard to positively identify without them. Sounds like a slipper or tongue coral but that is only a guess without pics.

I so want a new camera

Hmm can you see any tentacles at all? When you got it did it have the super long tentacles? I know heliofungia doesn't do well in captivity so it may be possible it is just a fungia plate

Hmm yeah that's definitely heliofungia. It looks healthy in your pic, no tissue loss or anything. Could it be getting to much flow?

It moves around on it's own at night , so I figure it goes where it likes
every morning its in a new spot , right now it's sitting in a med flow not to strong but not to weak , with moderate lighting
