New Kenya Coral HELP please

Hi I purchased this Kenya tree online which arrived yesterday.
How do I know if it is ok and survived the journey ?
It was posted on Tuesday but only arrived Yesterday (Thursday even thou it said next day )
This is the first time purchasing online and new to corals.
The heat pack was cold. And if honest the waterr it came in wasn’t great and rather smelly.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks.

It is just fine. Kenya trees are borderline immortal. You received a healthy coral that is currently stressed out and adjusting to its new home. Soft coral will shrivel and 'shed' a layer of skin usually after acclimation. I read somewhere they believed it was a possible evolution to keep parasites off of them...though no concrete evidence towards it.

My only advice is to put it down in the sand. It will grow like a weed and spread like a weed. These things over take tanks and have forced people out of the hobby. There are also those that love them.

Thanks very much for the reply and info.
I hope it will be ok. Still no change this evening.
Let’s hope it perks up soon, so I know it’s alive.

It'll take awhile, more than a day or two. I usually say give it a week. Just take care of your tank how you know how to take care of it. Do weekly water changes. Keep water levels pristine. You'll do just fine.
