I turned on my light this morning and my yellow clown goby was extremely pale, nearly white! Is this from lack of light? Or an illness? Please help

Often what I have found for whatever reason a lot of fish when "waking up" (light being turned on) have an abnormal coloration. Is it acting strange?

Yeah I agree with that; as soon as the light has been on an hour or so it's back to bright yellow! It could be due to the fact in the wild they dim their colour as a defends mechanics against predators? He's absolutely fine though, swimming and eating normally!
