about every two weeks ,, i take, out everything,, and clean the tank,,because,,,red algae grows rapidly on all the live rocks,,i cannot figure out ,,what has happened,,,,,?? Its a 55 gal tank,, with about 35-40 lbs of live rock,,,,dont know what kind,,was given the fish tank,,about,,,,,2 yrs ago,,no problem,,with it,,until about,6 months ago,,it started producing this red algae,,,,,,,,,,can some one help,??????

If it`s soft and comes off easy then it cyano. Here is a good link from our articles section.
