Red Slime cure

If anyone out there ever has a red slime problem use Boyd's
Chemiclean. I had a pretty bad case of it and dosed it one day
and turned off skimmer and removed carbon and within 2 days
it was pretty much gone. Awesome product!! Have no signs of
slime in my 20 gallon tank at all. Hope I don't see it in the 36 gallon.
 
I agree the chem. is a good product in terms of efficiency; however, make sure to perform a 50%+ water change after full treatment and note that I have had this chem. kill macroalgaes in the past (under 8hrs). Your cyano will eventually return if you do not correct the route of your problem, usually a combination of biological and chemical properties (nutrient import overriding export).
