ricordea budding or dying

i bought apiece of lr 3 weeks ago. 2 decent sized ricordea mushrooms on it, one of them looked like it was splitting in half it had a white line starting at one side moving to the center. today it looks smaller than before and i saw a piece of it fall off and float onto another rock with some zoas... is it dying, budding.. any ideas?

did you notice the development of a second mouth before the split. typically when a ric splits you will see 2 mouths before it splits.

i tried taking some pictures with 3 different cameras, none of which could produce a decent non blurry pictire. at least not with great enough definition to see what im talking about
