Sail fin died

Hi all.
Looked in my tank yesterday and noticed my sail fin died. I also have two clown, a yellow tang and two damesel.
Don't understand what happened, all was going well, had the tank for 6 months now 45 gal

One thing I did notice was that the fins were damaged, like tears in the fins? I never seen the fish fight, on the contrary all was always good, but could it be what happenned? I checked nitrate, trite, and ammonia, all is good.

Also I had done a 20% water change just last week?

Any ideas??

I would point my finger at the damsels compounded by the tank size. Almost every tang needs a 6 foot tank, put them in a tank thats too small and things happen. If the damsels ganged up on him at night he would have no escape in such a tiny tank.

Sorry about your tang....keep an eye on the yellow one....
