Hi

I've had my first reef tank (120) 10 months now and am having trouble keeping blue mushrooms. they maintain color but shrink to almost nothing w/in 3-4 weeks

SG 1.024-1.025
ammonia 0
pH 8.2
nitrite 0
nitrate 0 (I only have 2 fish and have always had 0 nitrates)
phosphate 0
Alk 3.8 meq
calcium 400
magnesium 1260

i keep them on the bottom in the shade. I have T5 lights white/actinic combo. what's strange is that my hairy mushroom is doing great. it already grew and split.

this is my second try at blue mushrooms. the first time it happened, I thought it might be tank maturity, but I guess not.

other corals are doing good including a variety of leathers, frogspawn, zoanthids, and bubble coral. I have a cuc of hermits and snails. . I do a 10% weekly water changes

I do not supplement feed them. should I? if so, with what?
any suggestions? thank you so much

Try moving them up a tad . I know they grow in low lighting. I've only had a couple of mushrooms in my years of having reefs. I don't like them but I'm glad to help a fellow reefer.
