Is my coral sick and gonna die? It wasn't like this yesterday, this "dead" spot happened overnight. I used a magnifying glass and I don't see anything on it. It was all nice and green. It's been in the same spot so I didn't move it since it's been doing really well right there since I got it. I've had it 2 months now.

Sorry bout the blurry photo. I put him in a bowl for now. Hopefully whatever happened won't happen to the others.

just cut the funny part off and move that to a different part of the tank. i can't see what it is but it's a mistake putting it in a bowl of water. good parameters and flow are what it always needs.

It looked like brown jelly after research. I moved him to bowl with dt water til i got qt going. He is in qt and is basically just skelton now. Am going to keep him in qt indefinitely.

the whole coral is history? that is terrible!
next time, cut off the effected part A.S.A.P.
cut off some good flesh with it, so you are sure to get it all.
