What happened to my starfish!?

I woke up to find him melted! My nitrates are good, salinity good, and temp is good. Any help or info would be great. Thanks!

How long have you had it? In many cases when they are improperly collected they are doomed, it just takes a few weeks for them to finally die.

Starfish are very sensitive. many of them die if their mouth comes in contact with air. This takes a couple weeks though. Sounds like your problem.

I had no idea. Sad thing is that I may have had him exposed to air for a few seconds when acclimating him to my water.

Thats all it takes. They can not have any contact with air.
