all stores get their fish and inverts from the same few places. they are all collected the same, and shiped to local airports where they pick them up. petco, or "super duper pets r us", either way, you can get ich.

Yeah,agree with Mr X,If your ever unsure ask the lfs to hold a fish for you for a few weeks and check the fish,the problem is any transporting of fish can and will stress them out,try to do everything possible to avoid this,My lfs pack sold fish and then place them in dark red sealed bags as well to help keep them calm.
