I have 2 Yellow tail damsels and noticed today that both of them have white upper "lips". they were blue yesterday! someone told me that if they were picking at the rocks, that could cause it. Has anyone seen that before?

Could also be from fighting. It may be a simple skin blemish or the onset of a fungal infection. In either case make sure you watch it incase it gets worse. Do a few good water changes, feed vitamin fortified foods and be sure you have a QT ready if needed. Most likley this will clear up on it's own in a few days water quality permitting.

well I changed a couple of gallons yesterday and this morning they looked fine, the white is all but gone on one fish and the other is not far behind. I don't know if the water change did it or not. I don't see them fighting and they are the only fish in the tank. who knows?? thanks
