Yellow Tang with Blood Spots??

I have had my tang for about 3 weeks and he is developing a blood red spot on both sides of his body where his front fins meet his body. He is eating and swimming fine. Any ideas??

It is a mild bacterial infection. In almost all cases a large water change will clear it up quite quickly.

I would also soak the foods in a good vitamin to improve the tangs immune system. Zoe and Selcon are the usual standards but I also find garlic is a good alternative.

How are you water parameters and how old is the tank?
