if you have a magnifying glass or a camera with a good zoom use that to do a really good inspection. Make sure you don't see any creepy crawlies on them. Kinda rare but there are a few bugs you can get that feed on them. Next i would watch to make sure you don't have any corals near enough to be stinging them. Watch at night. That's when many corals put out their sweeper tentacles to the fullest. Do you have any dwarf angels or any fish that could be eating them? There are also a few kinds of tube dwelling snails/worms that can put out mucus or tentacles that can irritate them. Lots of things all at once but those are the most common culprits.
