Advice on QT's Please

I have a 20ltr tank not doing much. Should I set it up as a QT just in case I may need it in the future? If so, how do I keep it cycled with out fish in it? Or should I put a couple of healthy fish in it and take them out and put into main tank, if I need it as a QT?

You should set that tank up and get another QT

I just run an extra small hob filter on my display and if I need to set up qt I just throw that filter on my 5.5 gal and it's ready for fish.. I fill it 75% with tank water and the rest treated tap water..

okay, thanks, I have a small in tank filter, i could put that into my big tank until the QT is required. Great idea, thanks heaps. Saves me running the 2 tanks.
