okay, I have got an albino shark and his tail is red, but i noticed today there was a big white dot on it, is this a disease or could it just be changing colour or something?

And also I have got 4 homebred baby albino koi swordtails, and they are acting a bit weird today, they seem to be lousy today, expecially the big male one, but im just wondering if its coz they are growning alot, and i noticed that the big male swordtail is growing it's "sword"
could they just be acting like this coz they are growing?

Welcome to AA!

Neither problem sounds normal to me. The shark may have ich or fungus. I don't know about the swordtails.

What are your water parameters? Ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels are important to a fish's health.

im not sure what water parameters mean?
but just checked on them again shark just lying on gravel under a rock

I take it you're new to the aquarium hobby. Here's a list of standard stuff we ask around here to help with problems:

1. How big is your tank? Gallon measurements are preferred.

2. How long has your tank been running? Did you cycle your tank? Search around on here for an explanation of the nitrifying cycle.

3. What kind of equipment do you use? Filter, heater, lighting, etc.

4. What's your maintenance schedule? How often do your do partial water changes (PWCs) and what percentage of your water do you replace?

5. What are your tank parameters? Your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels in the tank are very important. I'd recommend getting a good liquid test kit for these parameters. I recommend the API Freshwater Master. In a pinch, many local fish stores (LFS) will test your water for free. Also, skip the strips. They're inaccurate at best.

Welcome to AA :)
I agree with BigJim, we'll need some more info on your tank to help you out. Pictures are also very helpful. Here is the quote from the stick on this sub-forum.
Answer these Qs to ensure we have as much information as possible about your ailing fish and its environment:

1~What type of fish is afflicted? In addition, please describe what is wrong with the fish to the best of your ability (i.e. cotton like growth, bloated, etc.).
2~What are your tank parameters (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, temp, pH)? Please give exact values.
3~ How large is the tank? How long has the tank been set up?
4~What type of filtration are you using? Please give the name and number (i.e. Fluval 304) and amount of gph if known.
5~How many fish are in the tank? What kinds of fish are they and what are their current sizes?
6~When is the last time you did a water change and vacuum the gravel? How often do you do this? How much water do you remove at a time?
7~How long have you had the fish? If the fish is new, how did you acclimate it/them?
8~Have you added anything new to the tank--decor, new dechlorinator, new substrate, etc.?
9~What kind of food have you been feeding your fish, have you changed their diet recently?

ok, been a bit busy sorry for not answering sooner,
I think the shark is now a major promblem to my tank and probally has to find him a new home, because he been too agressive to the other fish, and nibbled a bit of the guppys tails of
Do you no how i could help the healing of this quicker?
it seems as he's been growing he has gotten more aggressive, and the tail looks like it starting to heal a bit now

We really need our lists of questions answered before we can be of much help. Sharks get too big for the average starter aquarium.
