Aquarium Advice Activist
My parameters are almost .25 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and nitrate 5.0. Had a platy die today. Hes been acting funny for the past few days. Ive had him for a week and he always stayed near the surface in a corner. Not gasping for air just staying there. At first i though he was just hiding from the current or shy since i dont have any large plants to make him feel safer. I have 8 corys and 5 neon tetras and theyre fine. If anything id figure the neons would have died off first. Do any of you all believe that fish from a chain store are half dead to begin with?
