Angelfish pairs

Good morning, I have been struggling with my pairs. My 1st female pair is in my hospital tank for about a week now trying to survive (barely swimming or eating). I was 1st advised to use Seachem Kanaplex which didn't seem to do anything so I've decided to use Polyguard which is a stronger med and after a 2nd dose, she's moving a bit more. The truth of the matter is that I'm inexperienced so I'm not sure what's wrong.
2nd pair: the male has something that I think looks like Velvet (or maybe it was the fry that was picking at him. However I've moved him to the hospital tank which leaves the other female with their fry. Sigh..... Now she's not eating because I did this.
I'm not sure what to do, can I have some suggestions please?
PS. The male for the other female is doing fine and is in the main Community tank.
