Never had cardinal tetras before.
Only know what I've read and it seems that they are off.
29G planted just finished horrific cycling. Cycling done with them AND 6 leopard danios. no imported goodies. Nitrite levels spiked and several days of 50 followed by another 50% ensued. However everyone survived.
Introducing media that will ensure I never have to stress myself or my fish out that much again.
The danios are out playing and chasing and doing well. the tetras are still lingering mid column, not schooling and very inactive. Seem kind of stunned.
Is this normal with only 5? or are they sick? or damaged by the brief exposure to high N02?
