Long Fin Rosy Barb.


There is this one place in the tank where the barb swims back n forth in the length of 12 inches for about a minute at a time..repeatedly..

When the barb is not doing this, looks like it really enjoys being the only barb in the tank.

Is it feeling cramped when it does this? Compulsive? Psycho?

Is this behavior a sign that i should NOT get 2 more barbs?

Normally when my cichlids swim back and forth on the side of the side, it means they know that I feed them and they want food.

Even though he might be happy with being the only barb in the tank, they should really not be kept unless in schools.

It is normal behaviour but yes they do prefer and live happier with more friends.

already fed'em, and the barb is back at it again...


20 gal is ok for 3-5 barbs?

thats the best news i've gotten from fish world....

Yeah 3 or 4 more in that tank would be fine.

Yeah I know I feed my angel and then like an hour later he is back infront of the tank lookin' at me wanting food lol.
