betta ate sand...

Ummmm..... what do I do?
I just switched my substrate to sand and once it was all clear and settled I added my betta, and he proceeded to consume a very bloated belly-full of bits of sand that settled on the plant leaves. :-(

Is it going to kill him? I'm freakin out here!!!!!

Fast him for a few days and them feed him a blanched, deshelled, crushed bit of pea. Then all you can do is wait to see if he passes it.

Yep, theres not much else you can do. I am sorry this happened but you might want to switch back to your previous substrate, because if your betta is like mine, he is just DETERMINED to commit suicide
Its basically just the fast and pea treatment until the bloating goes away, then treat him with lots of TLC until he is fully recovered
