Last week I went away for the weekend (fed my beta for the whole week before I left, fasted him one full day while I was gone) and when I came back I noticed he had what looked like a swollen side with something protruding out of him. He’s still swimming around happily, eats a lot, and loves making his bubble nests, but now the swelling on his side seems to have gone down to reveal a bit of a hole on his side. I’m wondering if it could be an injury, but I’m worried it could be a tumor or another disease. Does anyone know what this might be or how to treat it?
