Betta ripped tail

Hey, I just noticed that the Betta has ripped his tail

I was worried about this actually and rearranged the tank this morning due to my concern. Apparently I was late

He loves to squeeze into tiny spaces

What can I do to encourage healing? He's in a community tank with wcmm and neon tetrasClick image for larger version

Can't see bloated from that side view, and it's a little dark.

Check water as usual - first thing to know about.

Look for any snag type things you maybe missed of course. Especially in corners and little places where he might be squeezing into.

Tail should heal on its own. Keep eye out for tail rot or aome other tail disease. torn or disappearing betta tails sometime linked to nutrient deficiency also. Just observe and see how tail health progresses.

I'll watch him

I'm not worried about future nutrition, he eats well and I have checked all of my foods for suitability to Betta requirements....however, he wasn't fed regularly in the child's room, which is why I added him to my community tank
