I got 5 black skirt tetra fish a few months ago and they did really well for the first couple weeks. Last week, I noticed one of them was hiding a lot so I removed the shelter to take a look at what’s going on, and I noticed that the fish was very bloated and has a huge round belly. I looked up pictures of dropsy because that’s what I saw on some posts and it doesn’t seem like it is? Although I’m not very sure, I’m a new fish owner and don’t have much experience. The fish isn’t eating at all for the past week and I’m really worried about it. I saw some posts say they could be pregnant, but I can’t figure out if it’s normal for pregnant fish to not eat. Please let me know if you have any ideas on what’s going on! The other 4 tetras are thriving and not having any problems. Just the one. I attached a picture of what it looks like.
