So Ill give the background on what happened....
He started out with the base of his tail being red, and was swimming more aggressive than a normal gourami. So when I was going to the pet store to ask about this I also noticed some green fungus on his head. So the guy at the store gave me Permafix, and I treated him for 3 days. The third day I saw his tail was shredded up. So I called the store and a different person told me that I should not use Permafix, but I should use Melafix.... I used this for 2 days. I went to a different store and someone told me DO NOT use either on a gourami, and she showed me Rid-Ich...... So I did a 25% water change on my 55gal today, and planned to add the new medication tomorrow. I just want to make sure that I do everything I can because the poor fish's tail is wasting away to nothing! I am a new aquarium owner & I feel awful that I listened to those sales associates, I just want my fish to stop suffering!
