bright red scale discoloration... illness?

I recently purchased two celebes rice fish. This morning I noticed that one now has a very bright reddish-orange coloration to his underside in front of his bottom fins... now I'm noticing that two of my three gold barbs appear to also have very dark red/orange bellies. This doesn't seem to fit the description of any disease I can find online, maybe I'm just paranoid or haven't noticed the gold barb coloration before?

Anyone have any thoughts?? Please and thanks!!
