Crowntail Betta - Fin rot?

Just wondering if this was fin rot or not. I went to feed him today and I thought his fins looked a little strange...
If it is, what can I do to stop it?

It looks like fin rot to me. What size tank is he in? Do you have a test kit and know your levels of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate? How often do you do a water change?


The best treatment for fin rot is usually just lots of clean water. Keep his water really clean with lots of water changes and his fins should start growing back.

He's in a 2.5 gallon tank with a filter. I do have a water test kit, I'll test the water and change it out completely.

I used API anti-fungal on a few of mine....and follow the instructions!!! Will need water changes out the wazoo as well
