I’m new to the hobby. I have a 15g tank with 9 harl rasboras and a recently deceased blue dwarf gourami.
Gourami seemed fine, was eating properly and no sign of lethargy or stress.
During the day today my wife told me (I was away at work) that she heard twice the gourami hitting itself on the roof of my tank, a behaviour I had never seen. Later tha afternoon he had passed away. When I fished him out that evening he had a very bloated stomach but no other signs of distress.
I’ve read about dwarf gourami disease but he didn’t seem to have the symptoms listed.
Water conditions seem ok, no ammonia or nitrites. Nitrates also normal. My water area has quite a high ph, hard water.
Any ideas what killed Bluey?
